Providing essential items, emergency support, and compassionate care to women and children impacted by domestic violence throughout Northwest Indiana. Join Us in providing safe stays for survivors in crisis.
No woman or child should have to go without the basic essentials needed for dignity, comfort, and care.
The Covered with Care Program is a faith-centered outreach initiative of A Better Way Ministry Inc., created to support women and children impacted by domestic violence throughout Northwest Indiana.
This program meets urgent, real-life needs during moments of crisisβwhen individuals are transitioning to safety and often have very few personal belongings. Through Covered with Care, we provide essential items such as new undergarments, personal care products, and emergency support including temporary lodging assistance when available.
Many women arrive in shelters with their children in tow, leaving quickly for safety. Because of this, there is a critical need for both womenβs and childrenβs essentials to help restore dignity and provide comfort during a difficult time.
Your support helps us extend compassion in practical ways, ensuring that no woman or child is left without the basic essentials they need to feel cared for and supported.
Together, we are not just giving itemsβwe are restoring dignity, strengthening hope, and reminding those we serve:
You are seen. You are valued. You are not alone.
βBear ye one anotherβs burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.β
Galatians 6:2 KJV

The Panty Project is a community outreach initiative of A Better Way Ministry Inc., providing new undergarments and personal care essentials to women and children in domestic violence shelters throughout Northwest Indiana.
WHAT THIS IS
What is the Panty Project?
The Panty Project was created to meet a real and often overlooked need.
Many women and children enter domestic violence shelters with very few personal belongings, often leaving quickly for safety. Access to basic undergarments and personal care items is limited, yet these essentials are critical for daily living, hygiene, and emotional well-being.
This initiative ensures that those we serve receive new, clean, and dignified essentials during a vulnerable time.

WHY IT MATTERS
Why This Matters
Something as simple as new undergarments can make a powerful difference.
These items help:
Sometimes, the smallest items carry the greatest impact.

WHAT WE ARE COLLECTING
We Are Collecting New:
All items must be new and unused to ensure health, safety, and dignity.

IMPORTANT NOTE
Many women arrive at shelters with their children in tow.

No alcohol will be served The purpose of Sip & Paint is to bring to survivors a piece of normalcy and fun and a chance to express themselves creatively through art sharing their individual story about what has happened to them and how they currently feel within themselves. We believe that this creative fun will help survivors to work through past experiences and present feelings. We bring fun and freedom to survivors at Local Domestic Violence Shelters where participants can safely, freely and creatively express themselves with other Survivors of Domestic Abuse.

Domestic violence is not limited to just intimate partner victims. Domestic Violence affects everyone connected to the victim and even the families of the abuser!
