The Holy Bible
This study helps survivors and faith communities focus on life after domestic abuse: safety, healing, healthy boundaries, forgiveness (as a personal process), and reclaiming identity and purpose in Christ.
Fear is a common emotion that everyone experiences at some point in their lives. It can be caused by various factors such as past experiences, uncertainty about the future, or even the unknown. However, as Christians, we are called to trust in God and not be afraid. In this five day Bible study, we will explore different scriptures that will help us overcome fear and trust in God.
Day 1: Psalm 27:1-3
The first day of this Bible study will focus on Psalm 27:1-3. This passage reminds us that God is our light and salvation, and we should not be afraid of anything. It also encourages us to seek God's face and trust in Him. Spend time meditating on this passage and ask God to help you trust in Him and not be afraid.
Day 2: Isaiah 41:10
On the second day, we will focus on Isaiah 41:10. This verse reminds us that God is with us and will strengthen us. It also encourages us not to be afraid or dismayed because God is our God. Spend time meditating on this verse and ask God to help you trust in Him and not be afraid.
Day 3: Philippians 4:6-7
The third day of this Bible study will focus on Philippians 4:6-7. This passage reminds us to not be anxious about anything but to pray and give thanks to God. It also promises that God's peace, which surpasses all understanding, will guard our hearts and minds. Spend time meditating on this passage and ask God to help you trust in Him and not be anxious.
Day 4: 2 Timothy 1:7
On the fourth day, we will focus on 2 Timothy 1:7. This verse reminds us that God has not given us a spirit of fear but of power, love, and a sound mind. It encourages us to trust in God's power and love and to have a sound mind. Spend time meditating on this verse and ask God to help you trust in Him and not be afraid.
Day 5: Psalm 34:4
The final day of this Bible study will focus on Psalm 34:4. This verse reminds us that when we seek the Lord, He will deliver us from all our fears. It encourages us to trust in God and seek Him in times of trouble. Spend time meditating on this verse and ask God to help you trust in Him and seek Him in times of fear.
Conclusion:
Fear is a natural emotion, but as Christians, we are called to trust in God and not be afraid. Through this five day Bible study, we have explored different scriptures that remind us of God's power, love, and faithfulness. May we continue to trust in God and seek Him in times of fear, knowing that He will deliver us from all our fears.
Prayer:
Pray this prayer with faith to help you overcome fear:
Heavenly Father,
I come to you today with a heavy heart, filled with fear and anxiety. I know that you are the source of all strength and courage, and I ask that you fill me with your peace and calm my troubled mind.
Help me to trust in your love and your plan for my life, even when I cannot see the way ahead. Give me the courage to face my fears and to overcome them with your help.
I know that you are always with me, and that nothing can separate me from your love. Help me to remember this truth, and to find comfort and strength in your presence.
Thank you for your love and your grace, and for the peace that comes from knowing you. I pray this in Jesus' name, Amen.

ABWM 5 DAY BIBLE STUDY
Introduction: Self-love is an important aspect of our lives as Christians. It is not selfish to love ourselves, but rather it is necessary for us to be able to love others and to fulfill God's purpose for our lives. In this Bible study, we will explore what the Bible says about self-love and how we can learn to love ourselves in a healthy way.
Scripture 1: "Love your neighbor as yourself." - Mark 12:31
Explanation: This scripture shows us that loving ourselves is a prerequisite for loving others. If we don't love ourselves, we won't be able to love others in the way that God intended. We need to learn to love ourselves in order to be able to love others.
Scripture 2: "For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb." - Psalm 139:13
Explanation: This scripture reminds us that we are fearfully and wonderfully made by God. We are unique and special in God's eyes, and we should learn to appreciate and love ourselves just as God loves us.
Scripture 3: "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind." - Romans 12:2
Explanation: This scripture encourages us to renew our minds and to think differently from the world. We should not compare ourselves to others or try to fit into the world's standards of beauty or success. Instead, we should focus on God's standards and learn to love ourselves just as we are.
Scripture 4: "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!" - 2 Corinthians 5:17
Explanation: This scripture reminds us that we are new creations in Christ. We should not hold onto our past mistakes or failures, but instead, we should embrace the new life that Christ has given us and learn to love ourselves as new creations in Him.
Conclusion: Learning to love ourselves is an ongoing process, but it is an important one. As we learn to love ourselves, we will be able to love others in a more meaningful way and fulfill God's purpose for our lives. Let us remember that we are fearfully and wonderfully made by God, and that we should learn to love ourselves just as He loves us.
