My name is Chianna and I am so glad you are here to see what's happening in Exploration and Faith!
Who is Angel Bear? I was waiting for you to ask. He's our mascot friend, a dream, a vision, a heart's wish come true, and I am the artist of Angel Bear and your host narrator.
I like to draw, craft, and read the bible to find fun, creative ways to express my faith and God's promises with you (that's where Angel Bear helps out :). Doodling with Angel Bear is faith-expressive fun!
Diving into the Word of God is indeed exploration, and it's a hug every time that God wants to share because He loves us very much. Even when our heart is hurting, He knows and feels because He cares about you and me. Knowing how much He cares is uplifting. It gives us strength, brings us hope, and allows our faith to rise and we are able to become the overcomers He's calling us to be through Him.
When we read His Word, we grow stronger, so let's draw from our reading, literally too :). As we share in our projects of faith-filled promises, promises found in His Word and declared over us (are you smiling yet :) I am because of what that means, God has something in store :) for you and me as we embrace each of His promises!
Check in and see what's new and good on our Angel Bear Page, as the word says, Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good! Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him!! Ps. 34: 8. What a blessing it is :) that He cares.
Child abuse and domestic violence are linked in a number of important ways that have serious consequences for the safety of children. But with effective intervention and a coordinated response to a child abuse and domestic violence, battered women advocates, child protective workers, judges and community members can help keep families safer.
Children can be injured as a direct result of domestic violence. Batterers sometimes intentionally injure children in an effort to intimidate and control their adult partner. These assaults can include physical, emotional, and sexual abuse of the children. Children are also injured – either intentionally or accidentally – during attacks on their mothers. Assaults on younger children may occur while the mother is holding the child. Injuries to older children often occur when an adolescent attempts to intervene in violent episodes.
There is a correlation between domestic violence and child abuse. In a national survey of more than 6,000 American families, 50% of the men who frequently assaulted their wives also frequently abused their children.
Children can be adversely affected by witnessing domestic violence. Although many parents believe that they can hide domestic violence from their children, children living in these homes report differently.
